Trsst is an open source extension to Atom allowing people to create self-signed and/or self-encrypted feeds. It is an attempt to build a decentralized version of Twitter.

A Kickstarter campaign raised USD 65k on 2013-09-13 [1].
Trsst helped sponsor IndieWebCampHollywood 2013.
The domain name for the project, trsst.com, expired 2018-07-08 and currently appears to be someone else's personal site. An archived version is available along with the white paper.
