  • Check the cached records for an url, if found return (is the website offset? )
  • Check the customer records for an url, if found return (does the hosting co offset, or use green power themselves)
  • Check the ip records for an url, if found return - (are the ips a site is hosted on linked to a DC known to run on green power?)
  • Check the as records for an url, if found return - (are the autonomous systems (big bunch of IPs) linked to a DC running on green power?)
  • None found, then return url = grey
