autocorrect

autocorrect is a feature of many text entry systems (especially mobile) that uses a built-in dictionary and simple grammar parser to fix errors while typing, yet often erroneously “corrects” jargon and proper nouns not in its dictionary, and is a source of errors in IndieWeb chat channels which can be found by searching the chat for autocorrect.
