IndieWebCamp Düsseldorf 2024, the eighth IndieWebCamp in Düsseldorf, was 2024-05-11…12, the weekend before btconf Düsseldorf 2024, Saturday at The City Library, and Sunday at the Niu Tab hotel lobby.

Covid Rules

Covid requirements & requests:

Saturday venue (City Library):

  • masking 😷 recommended. Please wear a face mask indoors.

Sunday venue (Niu Tab hotel):

  • no requirements, however masking 😷 recommended.

Weekend Schedule

Overview of the weekend's schedule:

  • Saturday, May 11th
    • 9:00 next door Xafé is open for coffee & snacks (for purchase)
    • 9:30 Stadtfenster room doors open
    • 10:00 IndieWebCamp kickoff!
    • 17:00 Day 1 camp closing session, wrap-up & pack up
    • 18:00 Doors Closed
  • Sunday, May 12th - Hotel Niu Tab hotel lobby, long tall table with outlets in the middle
    • 08:00 Create Day start
    • 15:00 Demos
    • 15:30 Wrap-up and camp close

Lunches will be on your own. Saturday there is a cafe adjacent to the IndieWebCamp main room, with many nice food and drink options.

Accessibility

Whatever your disability, we want to make sure IndieWebCamps are accessible to all. If you consider attending IndieWebCamp Düsseldorf and have specific accessibility requirements, contact us in advance and we'll try to make sure that we are able to accommodate you. The venue has elevators for access to rooms on different floors.

Travel

🚝 We highly recommend traveling by train or public transit.

  • Saturday Venue: Stadtfenster room, 2nd floor, Neue Zentralbibliothek Düsseldorf

~2 minute walk from Düsseldorf Central Station (Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof).

  • Sunday Venue: Niu Tab hotel lobby, 0th floor, lobby near the back, tall table with outlets in the middle
    • Look for the table with the large IndieWebCamp flag

Directions

Directions from the train station to Zentralbibliothek: (see also Google Maps walking directions)

  • Walk roughly North out of the train station and towards the right
  • Carefully cross various local transit tracks & lanes
  • Look for the building with a mostly caps/blue LiDL in bright yellow circle on blue square

    LiDL

  • Look for large glass doors on the ground floor
  • Enter on the bottom floor
  • Take the elevator up to floor 2
  • Walk out of the elevator, continue forward to the end of the hall
  • Turn left and go to the end, where there are two (see through) glass doors
  • Left door goes to the cafe ("Xafé"), right door goes into the "Stadtfenster" room
